The Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection, Police Officer Standards and Training Council’s, Field Services Training Division is offering a one (1) day training titled “Search and Seizure for the Active Officer.”  The seminar will be presented by Attorney Eric Daigle of the Daigle Law Group.

This seminar is designed to strengthen the legal knowledge and practical application of arrest procedures and constitutional protections for law enforcement personnel.  Participants will develop a comprehensive understanding of key legal standards related to the 4th, 5th, 6th, and 8th amendments to the U.S. Constitution as they apply to Legal Standards and Police Best Practices.  This course will provide participants with a working knowledge of policy and legal interpretation that is essential for effective field operations and supervisory oversight.

Reporting Instructions
Tuition for this course is $75. Lunch may be purchased at local restaurants. The uniform Dress Code for POST In-Service training (General Notice 23-02) will be in effect. We ask that all training supervisors inform assigned personnel that they are required to dress accordingly.
