Mandatory Training for all Instructors endorsed in areas 514 and 514A
Full Description
The Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection, Police Officer Standards and Training Council’s Field Services Training Division in partnership with the Department of Children and Families (DCF), and the Department of Consumer Protection (DCP) Gaming Division) is providing a one (1) day seminar titled “Mandatory Human Trafficking Curriculum Update Train-the-Trainer (T-t-T).”  Attendees will have access to the training materials which will be the required curriculum to teach these topics.

This training is MANDATORY FOR ALL CURRENT INSTRCUTORS ENDORSED IN AREAS 514 AND 514A.  INSTRUCTORS WITH THESE ENDORSEMENTS THAT DO NOT ATTEND THIS TRAINNG WILL HAVE THOSE ENDORSEMENTS DROPPED FROM THEIR INSTRUCTOR CERTIFICATION ON APRIL 1, 2027, AND WILL NO LONGER BE CERTIFIED TO OFFER POST CREDITS IN THESE AREAS.

This training will also be the only criteria by which new instructors can become certified to teach or add these endorsements.

Students successfully completing the course will receive Review Training Credit in the following areas:
• Area 514 Organized Crime/Gambling (3 hours)
• Area 514A Human Trafficking (3 Hours)

Reporting Instructions
There is no tuition for this course. Lunch may be purchased at local restaurants. The uniform Dress Code for POST In-Service training (General Notice 23-02) will be in effect. We ask that all training supervisors inform assigned personnel that they are required to dress accordingly. Class hours will be from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
