Full Description
The Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection, Police Officer Standards and Training Council’s Field Services Training Division is providing a three (3) hour seminar titled “Crowd Control & Civil Disorder Curriculum Update Train-the-Trainer (T-t-T).”  Attendees will have access to the training materials which will include the required lesson plan to instruct this topic.  Instructors will be POST staff and Troopers from the Connecticut State Police.

THIS TRAINING IS MANDATORY FOR ALL CURRENT INSTRCUTORS ENDORSED IN AREA 606.  INSTRUCTORS WITH THIS ENDORSEMENT THAT DO NOT ATTEND THIS TRAINNG WILL HAVE THIS ENDORSEMENT DROPPED FROM THEIR INSTRUCTOR CERTIFICATION ON JULY 1, 2027, AND WILL NO LONGER BE CERTIFIED TO OFFER POST CREDITS IN THIS AREA.

This training will also be the only criteria by which new instructors can become certified to teach or add this endorsement.

Students successfully completing the course will receive Review Training Credit in the following areas: area 606 Crowd Control/Civil Disorder (3 hours)

Reporting Instructions
There is no tuition for this course. Lunch may be purchased at local restaurants. The uniform Dress Code for POST In-Service training (General Notice 23-02) will be in effect. We ask that all training supervisors inform assigned personnel that they are required to dress accordingly.
